San Diego Named 3rd Coolest City: Forbes

SAN DIEGO, CA -- Forbes magazine this week named San Diego the third coolest city in the U.S.

The list of the country's coolest cities, which was compiled with the help of Sperling's Best Place, evaluated 100 of the largest metropolitan cities. Researchers evaluated the cities on nine metrics such as mass transit, eateries and recreation.

After looking at the metrics, the magazine named San Francisco the coolest while Seattle came in second place.

San Diego came in third for its electric cars, youth and recreation. But the city is weak when it comes to net migration and the number of bars and clubs, according to Forbes magazine.
