  1. Full service on both Metrolink and Amtrak’s Pacific Surfliner will return next week. Tracks are now stabilized after a landslide in San Clemente more than six months ago and minor construction will continue through June. Costs to finish the project are estimated to be $13,700,600. Annual lease payments to the State Lands Commission, permit fees, private rights of way, and environmental mitigation will also need to be determined. (Del Mar Times)
  2. Worried about home title theft? According to the San Diego City Attorney, the crime is not possible here. A company promoting its home title theft services, Home Title Lock, received a subpoena from city attorneys after making false claims to consumers. According to city attorneys, the company targets elderly customers with deceptive advertising. (CBS News 8)
  3. SDG&E wants to create a graduated billing system to lower the bills of low- and moderate-income customers. To offset costs, the utility would raise the costs of customers earning over $180,000 a year. SDG&E is also proposing flat-base fees, which would result in solar panel users paying additional fees. The proposal will be considered by the California Public Utilities Commission, which will make its decision in summer 2024. (FOX 5 San Diego)
  4. La Jolla Concours d’Elegance will return to celebrate its 17th year beginning on Friday, April 21, providing a world-class weekend of activities. Porsches will be on display at 5 p.m. during Porsches on Prospect. The Friday VIP 21+ Party will start at 6 p.m. on the lawn at the Ellen Browning Scripps Park. On Saturday at 5 p.m. the Porsches will continue to be displayed as a complimentary event. On Sunday, 9 a.m., collectors will gather on the lawn of La Jolla Cove to compete in the Best of Show.
