Smart & Final Opening New Store In San Diego

SAN DIEGO, CA — Smart & Final is opening a new store in San Diego.

The grocery warehouse chain will open its doors Wednesday in San Diego's Midway District. The 25,000-square-foot location will offer Smart & Final's signature mix of fresh groceries and club-sized options.

To celebrate the opening, the Smart & Final Charitable Foundation will donate a combined $20,000 to four organizations making an impact in San Diego, according to the company. The recipients include Boys and Girls Clubs of Greater San Diego, Generate Hope, Mama's Kitchen and San Diego Youth Services.

"Our goal is simple — to give customers more ways to save without sacrificing quality," District Manager Anthony Hofer said. "This new Midway District store brings together expanded fresh offerings, convenient shopping, and the club-size values for which Smart & Final is known. We're excited to support families, small businesses, and the broader community as the neighborhood continues to evolve."

Headquartered near Los Angeles in Commerce, Smart & Final has more than 250 store locations in the western U.S.

There are over 20 stores in San Diego County. The new store is at 3705 Rosecrans St. in San Diego.

Beginning at 7 a.m. on opening day, customers will receive a free reusable tote bag with purchase and can enter to win a Smart & Final gift card, according to the company.
