Here are the top stories today in San Diego:

- It’s springtime and bees are swarming again. If you find them in your home, your water meter box, your chimney or elsewhere, don’t try to remove them yourself. San Diego now has aggressive African hybridized bees, which you’ll want to avoid. Check out your local extermination company for assistance. (NBC San Diego)
- People love visiting Point La Jolla and taking a selfie alongside a sea lion. Little do they know that those cute sea creatures weigh several hundred pounds, a danger for sure. Now the City of San Diego will keep Point La Jolla closed year-round to keep visitors out of harm’s way. (KUSI)
- The regions's first standalone homeless recuperative care center will open May 1 at a refurbished motel on Center City Parkway in Escondido. The Turk Recuperative Center will have 106 beds to house the homeless. Working with local hospitals, the center will provide shelter, healthcare and training to those who would otherwise end up back on the streets. The facility is operated independently by the Interfaith Community Center, a nonprofit organization. (KUSI)
- Seniors throughout San Diego may have felt isolated throughout the pandemic, but Assistance League North County was there to spread joy with the "Masquerade Brigade." The brigade visited seniors, bringing flowers or strawberries from a local farm stand, and singing songs such as “You are our sunshine” to brighten the day. (CBS News 8)
