  1. According to the nonprofit, Serving Seniors, too many seniors are homeless and affordable housing. It plans to build a 174-unit senior housing complex in San Diego’s Clairemont neighborhood, along with a senior center for the community. The project will begin in late summer. (Star News)
  2. Thanks to a Federal Communications Commission (FCC) grant, low-income families will get affordable, quality, reliable broadband internet services. The project, called the Affordable Connectivity Program hopes to ensure that no home is left behind in this digital era. It is estimated that 120,000 eligible households would benefit from the grant. (NBC San Diego)
  3. The Cervantes Festival at the House of Spain in Balboa Park, featured Flamenco dancers; authentic Spanish paella, jamón serrano, and Manchego cheese; a kids art table, and more. The festival began with young people reading Cervantes,’ Don Quixote. It was a fun learning experience for all. (Cool San Diego Sights)
