  1. Found all around your yard, walkway, and hillsides, weeds may be the perfect fuel for wildfires. In some areas, the turf is now several feet tall and like a thick carpet. Sure, your turf looks green now, but come June the turf will dry out. Cal Fire encourages all of us to clear our weeds and brush sooner, rather than later. (NBC San Diego)
  2. With rising rents at mobile home parks here in San Diego, perhaps residents should be allowed to purchase the parks when they are put up for sale and convert the parks into cooperatives (Co-Ops). While it may seem like a novel idea, advocates are urging state legislatures to pass bills that would help residents buy the parks. (NBC San Diego)
  3. San Diego has an abundance of music festivals heading our way this summer. In July, San Diego Bayfest beach music will take place at the Waterfront Park. In August, Bleached Fest indie-pop and new-age R&B will also take place at the Waterfront Park. In August, Summergrass San Diego will be held at the Antique Gas & Steam Engine Museum in Vista. Details for these and other music festivals can be found here.
