Woman Injured After Falling About 25 Feet From Cliff In San Diego

She suffered serious injuries and was taken directly to a local hospital via a SDFD helicopter.

SAN DIEGO, CA — Lifeguards and firefighters rescued a woman who fell who fell about 25 feet onto some rocks at a beach in the Sunset Cliffs area Saturday.

The victim, who was said to be in her 20s, fell from street level at 900 Sunset Cliffs Blvd. at about 2 p.m. Saturday, according to the San Diego Fire-Rescue Department.

She suffered serious injuries and was taken directly to a local hospital via a SDFD helicopter.

"This was a fast, efficient and safe rescue because of teamwork between firefighters, lifeguards and the crew of copter 3," the SDFD said.
