SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A water main installed during the Depression in San Francisco's Glen Park neighborhood broke Saturday, flooding numerous homes and backyards.

The city's public works crews responded to the water main break, which occurred on Laidley Street, on Saturday morning.

City officials confirmed the water main was installed in 1929 and likely failed due to age.
