NORTHERN CALIFORNIA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.

"Lingering showers dissipate into the afternoon," NWS San Francisco forecasters wrote Monday. "Light chances of rain return Tuesday and increase into Wednesday before exiting Thursday. The higher rainfall amounts will be focused around the Big Sur Coast. Additional rains look to arrive in the late weekend."
