SAN FRANCISCO, CA — As we head into the new week, we've rounded up the stories you may have missed Saturday and Sunday to prepare you for Monday.
But before we jump into Northern California’s top stories, residents should know the Bay Area is saying goodbye to the recent lows in the 30s and highs in the 60s.
This week, lows will reach the 50s and highs will hit the 80s. The warming trend will continue through Thursday, when the hottest conditions are expected: That's when there's a high probability for 80-degree weather across the Santa Clara, Salinas and Santa Rosa valleys, according to the National Weather Service.

Along the coast, including in San Francisco and the East Bay, it could hit 70 degrees Thursday, according to the NWS.
Overnight lows are expected to be 5 to 10 degrees above seasonal normal, forecasters said.

Two pounds of fentanyl was seized as part of an operation by the Alameda County Sheriff's Department on Friday. That's enough of the opioid in order to provide 496,000 lethal doses, deputies said.
And a 9 year-old girl was killed early Sunday morning in a rollover crash at the I-680/Highway 24 split in Concord. Police were searching for a male driver who fled the scene after the deadly crash, which also led to four other people being hospitalized, according to the California Highway Patrol.
Plus, police in Monterey said they caught a serial peeping tom red-handed after spotting him climbing onto a hotel roof. The man was being held on $500,000 bail in connection to four peeping-tom incidents dating back to September, according to police.
