Wells Fargo Worker Found Dead 4 Days After Arriving At Work
Other workers reported an odor but no one checked the woman's cubicle.

TEMPE, AZ — A 60-year-old woman reported to work at a Wells Fargo office building in Tempe, Arizona at 7 a.m. on Friday, Aug. 16. Her body was found in her cubicle four days later. Her coworkers report that they smelled a foul odor in the building but thought it was a plumbing problem.
Denise Prudhomme was pronounced dead by emergency responders just before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, Aug. 20, in a timeline provided by the Tempe Police Department.
One Wells Fargo worker told the NBC station in Phoenix,"It's really heartbreaking and I'm thinking, 'What if I were just sitting there? No one would check on me?'"

Prudhomme reportedly worked on the third floor of the building, away from the main workflow area. Furthermore, many employees work remotely.
Another employee said their direct management informed them of the death, offered counseling services and told workers the building was thoroughly cleaned.

The Tempe office is not a bank branch but is described as a local headquarters.
The Maricopa County Medical Examiner has not yet released a cause of death. The Tempe Police Department's case is still open but no signs of foul play have been uncovered.
Wells Fargo, headquartered in San Francisco, emailed a statement about Prudhomme's death to Patch, “We are deeply saddened by the tragic loss of our colleague at our Tempe office. Our thoughts and prayers are with their family and loved ones during this difficult time. Counselors, through our Employee Assistance Consulting service, are available to support our employees. We are fully cooperating with the Tempe Police Department in their investigation and will direct all further questions to them."
