Archie Williams Bounces Back From Tough Loss, Tops Novato 8-0
The Peregrine Falcons girls soccer team has experienced just one loss through its first 11 games.
SAN ANSELMO, CA — Two days after experiencing their first loss of the season, Archie Williams High’s girls soccer team bounced back Wednesday with a resounding 8-0 Marin County Athletic League victory over Novato.
Junior Zola Thurston and sophomore Madelyn Mergenthaler each scored a goal and had two assists to lead the Peregrine Falcons.
Senior goalie Gabby Thawley was credited with her fifth shutout. She’s given up just two goals through seven games.

Ella Naish, Dira De Andrade, freshmen Mari Rode and Pheove Morf and sophomore Lucy Lafave each added one goal for Archie Williams.
The Peregrine Falcons (7-1-3, 3-1-2) were coming off their only loss of the season, a 1-0 MCAL setback at the hands of Branson on Monday.
