Fairfax To Hold Waste Collection Event

The event will include collection of electronic waste, car tires and unwanted prescription drugs.

FAIRFAX, CA — Got stuff you need to unload?

The town of Fairfax might be able to take unwanted items off your hands.

The Marin community will hold its annual “Fairfax Take Back Day” for town residents later this month. The event will include collection of electronic waste, car tires and unwanted prescription drugs.

No bulbs and batteries will be accepted.

Document shredding services will also be offered.

The town said it will not accept mattresses this year.

Take Back Day is open to Fairfax residents.

It will be held April 30 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Fairfax Market (in the west end of the parking lot).

The town will also hold a Fairfax Drug Take Back event on the same day at the same location from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m., town officials said.
