Fairfax Police: People Lying in the Street, Protestors, Possible DUI Crash

Monday, July 4

Town Code Violation: Construction crews were heard on Forrest Avenue at 5 a.m.

Vandalism: A resident came in, reporting that a neighbor vandalized her car.

Animal: A resident’s dog ran away on San Gabriel Drive.

Theft: Registration stickers were stolen during the Fairfax Festival.

Theft: A resident wanted to report the theft of personal property.

Town Code Violation: A subject was warned for possession of an open container at the Parkade at 7:31 p.m.

Suspicious Vehicle: A resident reported a suspicious car was in front of his residence on San Gabriel Drive. The driver was the owner of a property, but did not live there.

Suspicious Circumstances: Two people appeared to be laying in the street on Westbrae Drive at 10:10 p.m.

With Subjects: Officers were out with a group of juveniles at School Street Plaza at 10:41 p.m.

Barking Dog: Possibly three dogs were barking for over an hour at 11 p.m. on Meernaa Avenue.

Noise: There was loud music that sounded like it was being broadcast to the neighborhood on Willow Avenue at 11:12 p.m. This is an ongoing problem.

Sunday, July 3

Noise: There was a loud party on Bolinas Road at 12:27 a.m.

Fire: There was a smell of smoke near Live Oak Avenue at 12:28 a.m.

Noise: There was a loud party with a live band near Marinda Drive at 12:53 a.m.

Noise: There was loud music coming from Marin and Manor Roads at 1:34 a.m.

Welfare Check: An officer checked to see if a subject who tripped and fell at Bolinas Avenue and Broadway Road was ok.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for half an hour on Sequoia Road.

Barking Dog: There were two calls of a dog barking on and off all night and day on Main Court. The owner was using a shock collar, but stopped.

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at Park Road and School Street at 8:58 p.m.

With Subjects: Subjects were warned for being in the park after dark at 9 p.m.

Assist Outside Agency: There was a possible DUI driver who hit a tree at the top of White’s Hill at 11:43 p.m. The driver was trying to crawl back into the car.

Saturday, July 2

Suspicious Vehicle: An officer initiated activity at the Shady Brooks Apartments at 1:34 a.m.

Disturbance: There was a verbal altercation at Bolinas Road and Broadway Avenue at 1:43 a.m.

Noise: There was loud music and a possible party on Bothin Road at 2:29 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unlocked car on Marinda Drive was entered, but nothing was taken.

Animal: A dog was running loose near Pancho Villa’s at 8:07 p.m.

Citizen Assist: A resident’s friend took two bags of groceries out of her car without permission.

Barking Dog: Multiple dogs have been barking for 30 minutes on Sequoia Road.

Noise: There was loud music on Cascade Drive at 10:59 p.m.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking at Spruce and Arroyo Roads at 11:18 p.m.

Friday, July 1

Civil Problem: There was a complaint of protestors with a photo of Obama as Hitler in front of the Bank of America at 10:53 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was an odor, which a resident think is a meth lab, near Pacheco Avenue and Main Court at 11:19 a.m.

Suspicious Circumstances: An unlocked car was entered on Marinda Drive the night before. Nothing was taken.

Animal: A coyote was seen on June 20 on the hill above Marinda Drive. There is a family of deer that live on the hill.

Theft: A women’s mail was stolen on Lansdale Avenue.

Disturbance: A resident reported that his wife was under the influence of alcohol and attacked him on Willow Avenue at 9:48 p.m.

Juveniles: An officer initiated activity with five juveniles in front of the youth center at 10:43 p.m.
