SAN ANSELMO, CA — Matt Palmateer pitched five strong innings of three-hit ball, Cal Amborn had two hits including a triple, and Archie Williams High defeated Branson 8-1 in a Marin County Athletic League baseball game Thursday.
Palmateer (2-2) struck out three, walked none, and gave up one run as the Peregrine Falcons (7-4, 6-2 MCAL) won for the third time in four games to remain in title contention.
Tiernan Bratcher added one hit and two RBI for Archie Williams.

The Peregrine Falcons are scheduled to play host to Windsor in a nonleague game Wednesday at 4 p.m. during a two-week break from league play. Their next league game is scheduled for April 12, when they play first-place Redwood (10-3, 7-1).
