Repeat Marin DUI Offender Arrested, Again: Report

A Dec. 24 crash at Castro Avenue and Bellam Boulevard led to Wilfredo Francisco Jorge Ajiataz's arrest, police said.

SAN RAFAEL, CA — A Marin man on probation for driving under the influence was arrested again on suspicion of driving under the influence – and this time with a child aboard – The Marin Independent Journal reports.

Wilfredo Francisco Jorge Ajiataz, 30 of San Rafael, was charged on Dec. 27 with driving under the influence with a prior felony DUI, child endangerment, and failing to have an alcohol detector attached to his ignition as required by a court order, among other crimes, the report said.

A Dec. 24 crash at Castro Avenue and Bellam Boulevard led to Ajiataz’ arrest, according to the report.

His blood-alcohol level was 0.16 percent, double the legal limit for driving, the report said.
