San Anselmo Police: Fireworks and Parties, Coyotes Spotted

The following information was provided by the San Anselmo Police Department. It does not indicate conviction.

Monday, July 4

Noise: There was a loud party on San Rafael Avenue at 12:05 a.m. They were advised to bring the party inside.

Suspicious Circumstances: There were two suspicious subjects on Ross Avenue at 12:29 a.m.

Burglary: A business was broken into on Greenfield Avenue. Office equipment and money was stolen.

Suspicious Circumstances: A subject rang a resident’s doorbell on Crest Road at 4:45 p.m., but when the resident got to the door the subject had walked away.

Juveniles: Three male juveniles were throwing water balloons at cars at Rutherford Avenue and Butterfield Road at 8:55 p.m.

Municipal Code Violation: There were fireworks being set off at Elm and Scenic Avenue. A group was also setting off sparklers and poppers on San Anselmo Avenue.

Sunday, July 3

Battery: Officers arrested a domestic violence suspect on Lansdale Avenue at 1:25 a.m. and he was taken to the county jail without incident.

Disturbing the Peace: A man was yelling on Ross Avenue at 4:01 a.m.

Found Property: Skateboard equipment was left at Memorial Park.

Burglary: Two checks were missing from a house on Yolanda Drive and it was found they were cashed.

Family Disturbance: There was an altercation between family members on Salinas Avenue at 7:35 p.m.

Civil Problem: There was a custody issue and assistance was requested on Greenfield Avenue at 8:59 p.m. It was determined to be miscommunication only.

Grand Theft: A bike was stolen on Myrtle Avenue.

Noise: There were loud firework noises on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard.

Noise: There was a loud party on Arroyo Avenue at 11:17 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud party on Crescent Road at 11:42 p.m.

Saturday, July 2

Probation Violation: A woman was intoxicated and was arrested in violation of her probation on Ross Avenue at 1:14 a.m.

Barking Dog: There was a dog barking on The Alameda at 4:25 a.m. Officers checked the area, but determined it was coming from the county sheriff’s jurisdiction.

Fraud: A resident reported her email account was hacked.

Animal: A dog was left unattended in a car on San Anselmo Avenue at 12:59 p.m.

Animal: A coyote was seen on Mountain View Avenue at 1:11 p.m.

Warrant Arrest: An officer responded to a resident’s request on San Anselmo Avenue at 4:04 p.m. and found she had an outstanding warrant from Santa Monica Police Department. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Animal: A coyote was seen in a resident’s back yard on Sunview Avenue.

Public Intoxication: A woman was having a verbal argument with her ex-boyfriend on Lansdale Avenue at 6:49 p.m. Officers responded and found him to be intoxicated. He was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Stolen Credit Card: A resident lost his credit and debit cards in the last few days and they have been fraudulently used since.

Sleeper: An elderly man was sleeping on Crescent Road at 7:59 p.m. Officers spoke with him and he said he was taking a nap.

Animal: A woman reported that she found a dog without a collar on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard. But, officers couldn’t locate the woman or the dog.

Suspicious Circumstances: Glass was heard breaking on Crescent Road at 10:52 p.m. It was determined a neighbor had dropped a BBQ while moving.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking on El Cerrito at 11:17 p.m. The owner was given a verbal warning.

Disturbing the Peace: A man was heard screaming at Broadmoor and Berkeley Avenues at 11:25 p.m.

Suspicious Person: An elderly man contacted dispatch asking what time it was and if it was nighttime. He was slurring his words and appeared to be limping at 11:36 p.m.

Friday, July 1

Disturbing the Peace: A man and woman were arguing at San Anselmo Avenue and Center Boulevard at 4:14 a.m.

Suspicious Person: A suspicious person was at San Francisco Boulevard at Veterans Plaza at 6:11 a.m.

Juveniles: Juveniles were throwing water balloons on Meadowcroft Drive at 11:26 a.m.

Burglary: Two storage units were entered on Tunstead Avenue at 3:30 p.m.

Battery: Officers responded to an altercation on Tunstead Avenue at 4:03 p.m. Following an investigation, a man was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Suspicious Circumstances: There was a car with its trunk open on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 5:32 p.m.

Barking Dog: A dog was barking for four hours on Pasadena Avenue at 6:43 p.m.

Non-Injury Accident with DUI Driver: There was a non-injury collision on Tamalpais Avenue at 6:45 p.m. Officers determined the driver was under the influence of alcohol. She was arrested and booked into the county jail.

Juveniles: A group of juveniles were hitting golf balls on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 8:11 p.m.

Noise: There was a group of skateboarders on Sir Francis Drake Boulevard at 11:27 p.m.

Noise: There was a loud party on San Anselmo Avenue at 11:35 p.m.

Domestic Violence: There was a disturbance at  residence on Florence Avenue at 11:45 p.m. Following an investigation, a woman was arrested for domestic violence and booked
