Shenk Sharp As San Domenico Tops Terra Linda

SAN ANSELMO, CA — Ozzie Shenk pitched six strong innings, Max Tavano had two hits and two RBI, and San Domenico High School defeated Terra Linda in a nonleague game Wednesday.

Sophomore Hank Figueroa had two hits, a run scored and an RBI and also reached on two walks.

Shenk, who was credited with the win, gave up two runs (one earned), he struck out six and walked one.

The victory followed a 14-2 shellacking of Technology High of Rohnert Park on Tuesday that was mercy-ruled after five innings in their season opener.

Sophomores Alex Tavano and Hank Figueroa combined on a three-hitter to lead the Panthers.

Tavano, who started and was credited with the win, struck out nine and walked two in four innings of two-hit ball. Tavano gave up three runs (one earned).

Alex Clark had a triple and drove in three runs, Tavano had a double and two RBI and West Middleton had two hits to lead the Panthers offensively.
