Aikido of San Leandro Launches GoFundMe Campaign
In conjunction with the Lunar New Year, Patricia Hendricks Sensei is asking the community to keep the dojo vibrant.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — An institution of the San Leandro community for 40 years, Aikido of San Leandro is an aikido dojo run by Patricia Hendricks Sensei.
Over the years, hundreds of kids and adults from all over the world have taken classes at the dojo.
To remain vibrant, Hendricks has launched a GoFundMe campaign in conjunction with the Lunar New Year. The goal is $10,000. So far, $650 has been raised.

"Your support will help us continue bringing high-quality aikido practice and tradition throughout what we wish is the last leg of this pandemic," Hendricks said in her appeal.
She said the money will partially be used to cover rent and utilities for the dojo.

Contributors are leaving words of encouragement as well as donations.
The DeQuincy family wrote, "Thank you Sensei! We love the dojo and the great people we’ve met through your teaching Aikido!"
While JM Wands said, "Keep doing what you're doing,,, thanks for all you do Patricia Hendricks Sensei."
