Alameda County Firefighters Deploy To Wildfire

ALAMEDA COUNTY — Members of a wildfire strike teams from the Alameda County Fire Department deployed to the Boone Fire in Fresno County.

The firefighters left at 1 a.m. Friday and have been hard at work since.

According to the fire department, "We have dispatched two Type 3 engines, along with a strike team leader and a trainee. Additionally, two chief officers were deployed to overhead positions a day earlier."

The firefighters are assigned to OES 2870C and overhead positions.

At 1:51 p.m. Tuesday, Cal Fire reported that the Boone Fire has burned 17,766 acres and is 44 percent contained. Evacuation orders remain in effect.
