Bay Trail And Marina Dog Park Close For Storm Cleanup
The city expects it will take crews about a week to clear the trail and surrounding area of debris from recent storms.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — The Bay Trail and Marina Dog Park will be closed until Christmas Eve to allow crews to clear debris that has accumulated during recent storms, according to city officials.
The city said park staffers installed closure signs and temporary fencing on the pedestrian bridges to restrict use until the trail can be fully cleared. Officials expect that work will take about a week and should wrap up by Dec. 24.
"These precautions are being taken to prioritize public safety while staff work to address the situation," the city said in a news release. "Updates will be provided if the timeline changes or additional measures are necessary."
