High Wind Watch For San Leandro

Some parts of the Bay Area could see wind gusts up to 65 mph. See the timing, intensity of the watch.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The National Weather Service issued a high wind watch that will take effect at midnight Monday and last all the way to 10 a.m. Thursday. San Leandro and the entire East Bay are included in the watch.

The Santa Clara Valley is the only place in the Bay Area excluded.

Expect wind in the mountains to blow at 20 to 30 miles per hour, with gusts up to 65 mph.

The North Bay could see even higher gusts.

Residents in valleys and coastal areas should expect winds between 15-25 mph with gusts up to 45 mph.

PG&E has not issued a Public Safety Power Shutoff Warning for any part of its service area.

Drivers of high profile vehicles and those pulling trailers are urged to use extra caution.

There is also a small craft advisory for San Francisco Bay and the coastline, and a gale warning offshore.
