'Magical' Rainbow Reflected In Lake Chabot: Photo Of The Day
Shortly before sunset on a rainy day, this rainbow shone brightly over the lake.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — Barbara Rella took this photo at Lake Chabot on March 6. She said that it had been raining all day, but she took her dogs there for a walk shortly before sunset.
In an email, Barbara told Patch, "Just before sunset, the sun from the west was shining brightly and brilliantly that this rainbow was shining for at least 50 minutes. Not joking. It was magical and couldn’t believe my eyes!"
She was especially struck by this image of the rainbow reflected on the still lake.
