• Man arrested, charged in hit-and-run death of Oakland bicyclist in 2024 (mercurynews.com) — A 24-year-old San Leandro resident has been arrested and charged in connection with a 2024 hit-and-run that killed an Oakland bicyclist near the Coliseum, after investigators traced a Honda Civic to his San Leandro home. Detectives used license plate readers, tips, and cell phone records before obtaining a warrant; the suspect is being held without bail and due in court January 8.
