Major BART Outage Impacting East Bay Travel

SAN LEANDRO, CA — BART commuters need to build extra time into their schedule.

BART reports a station closure at San Leandro station because of a fire in the area.

There is no Blue, Green or Orange line service between the Lake Merritt, Berryessa and Dublin stations.

For passengers who don't choose to drive, AC Transit is offering mutual aid between Lake Merritt and Fremont stations and VTA is providing mutual aid between the Milpitas and Berryessa station.

Commuters should expect more traffic on East Bay freeways because of the BART outage.
