Motorcyclist Killed in Hit-And-Run Crash Sunday Identified
Police say the 34-year-old Oakland resident crashed into a parked car on his motorcycle.

Oakland, CA— A motorcyclist killed in East Oakland in a hit-and-run crash on Sunday afternoon was identified by the Alameda County coroner's bureau Monday as a 34-year-old Oakland resident.
Officers in the area of 80th Avenue and International Boulevard saw Alexander Philip Murphy crash into a parked car on his motorcycle at about 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, according to police.
The officers gave Murphy CPR until medical assistance arrived, but Murphy died from his injuries, police said.

Investigators determined that Murphy had hit a black Audi as it made a left turn into a business nearby and then collided with the parked car. The driver of the Audi fled the crash scene, police said.
Police are still looking for the Audi driver. Anyone with information about the crash has been asked to call Oakland police traffic investigators at (510) 777-8570.
