• San Leandro Woman Fatally Shot While Driving: Report (patch.com) — San Leandro readers are learning that a woman from their city was fatally shot while driving alone early Sunday in East Oakland, near MacArthur Boulevard and 102nd Street. Oakland police are still investigating, have not identified a suspect or motive, and are asking the public for tips to help solve the case.

The former Freshman of the Week honoree shot efficiently from the field and three-point line, leading the Aztecs as they head into conference play at Fresno State.
