Pedestrian Dead After Being Struck By Oncoming Traffic
The pedestrian walking on westbound Interstate 580 when he was struck by traffic.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — A pedestrian walking on westbound Interstate 580 near the 164th Avenue offramp was struck by a vehicle and killed this morning, according to the California Highway Patrol.
The incident was first reported just after 9:30 this morning.
At this time, no traffic lanes are blocked, according to the incident report issued by the CHP.
