Natural Gas Venting In San Leandro By PG&E
Work on the lines is part of PG&E's pipeline safety initiative.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — Pacific Gas and Electric Company announced it will be venting natural gas in the 1900 block of Fairway Drive in the city of San Leandro.
The project is part of the company’s pipeline safety initiative and will run from Aug. 23 through Aug. 25, PG&E said.
The work is not expected to affect gas service, but while crews work residents may smell natural gas and hear "a loud hissing noise" as crews release gas from the pipeline in what PG&E said is "a safe and controlled process."
