SAN LEANDRO, CA — If your idea of the best way to cool down on a hot day is to reach for a ice-cold beer, the East Bay Times compiled a list of 5 local breweries this summer that are also family-friendly.

You can find them in Alameda, Berkeley, Lafayette, San Leandro, San Ramon and Walnut Creek. There were also options in the South Bay, Marin and on the Peninsula.

Kevin Scoles, executive vice president at Alameda’s Almanac Beer Co., said “We believe that creating a space that is family focused helps ensure that everyone feels welcome.”
