Free Workshops, Expert Tips & Growth Strategies For San Leandro Small Businesses
The City is partnering with San Leandro Chamber of Commerce to offer free events supporting local entrepreneurs during Small Business Week.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The City of San Leandro is gearing up to celebrate Small Business Week from May 5 through May 9, 2025, highlighting the vital role small businesses play in the local economy and offering a full schedule of free workshops and webinars to help them thrive.
Small businesses create two out of every three jobs in America, and San Leandro is no exception, boasting more than 2,700 businesses that each employ 25 or fewer people. Many of these businesses are minority- and women-owned, contributing to the city's diverse economic landscape.
Throughout the week, the City has partnered with the San Leandro Chamber of Commerce to host a series of free, public workshops. The events are open to all businesses, regardless of Chamber membership, and cover topics ranging from government contracting to cybersecurity.

The lineup includes:
- Monday, May 5, 12–1 p.m.: Pathways to Procurement: Navigating Agency Contracts for Small Businesses
- Monday, May 5, 5:30–6:30 p.m.: 5 Secrets to Unlocking Steady Cash Flow
- Tuesday, May 6, 12–1 p.m.: Grow Your Business With ICA Fund
- Tuesday, May 6, 5:30–6:30 p.m.: Confident Business Bookkeeping: QuickBooks Essentials
- Wednesday, May 7, 5:30–7 p.m.: San Leandro’s Breakthrough Workshop: Emotionally Intelligent Leadership
- Thursday, May 8, 12–1 p.m.: AI for Business Owners: Smarter, Faster Strategies for Growth
- Friday, May 9, 12–1 p.m.: What Every Business Owner Needs to Know to Protect Against Cyberattacks
