San Leandro Family Aquatic Center Sets Opening Date

The center also has new features and an extended season.

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The City of San Leandro has announced the grand reopening of the San Leandro Family Aquatic Center (SLFAC) on June 14, just in time for summer fun.

Located in Washington Manor Park at 14900 Zelma Street, the aquatic center returns after a temporary closure with new features and an extended season that will run through September 28.

Visitors can look forward to a range of upgrades designed to enhance the experience for swimmers and families alike. Highlights include a brand-new AquaPlay structure, expanded shaded seating areas, and improved amenities throughout the center.

With its heated pool, zero-depth entry activity pool, 17-foot water slide, lap lanes, and designated water play and relaxation zones, SLFAC promises a fun and refreshing destination for residents and visitors of all ages.

The aquatic center will offer a variety of programs, including swimming lessons for all skill levels and recreational swim sessions.

San Leandro residents can begin registering for programs and activities starting this Saturday, May 10, at 9 a.m. Registration is available online at SanLeandroRec.org or in person at the Marina Community Center, 15301 Wicks Blvd. in San Leandro. Customer service hours are Monday through Friday from 9 to 5, and Saturdays from 9 to 1.

The City of San Leandro invites the community to dive in and make the most of the upgraded aquatic center this summer.
