San Leandro Fine For Unleashed Dogs: $400
The city has a dog park where your pets can romp off-leash. It is at the south end of Marina Park.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — If you are fed up with dogs that are not on a leash, so is the animal control unit of the San Leandro Police Department.
It is reminding residents that violators of the leash ordinance could be fined $400.
Residents are also required to clean up after their pets.

San Leandro has an off-leash dog park. "The San Leandro Dog Park is located at the south end of Marina Park, 14001 Monarch Bay Drive," according to the city website. "After parking, walk through the Shoreline Trail entrance, across the bridge and just past the EBMUD building (with a whale mural on the wall) on the left, you will see the Dog Park. The San Leandro Dog Park has 58,000 square feet of open space; amenities include separated small and large dog areas. The Dog Park has shade structures with picnic benches, water faucets, benches and garbage cans. Restrooms are located in Marina Park adjacent to the parking lot."
