San Leandro Looks To Be An Age-Friendly City, Asks Residents For Input
The city is looking for input from community members to create an age-friendly action plan.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — The city of San Leandro has joined up with several other cities throughout Alameda County in an effort to become an “Age-Friendly City,” San Leandro announced on social media today.
To determine what is needed to achieve the goal, San Leandro is hoping to get input from those who live within the community and is asking residents to take part in an online survey to help as it forms an age friendly action plan.
Questions asked on the survey include how respondents rate the community for people to live as they age and whether they plan to remain in the community as they age. The survey also looks at the quality-of-life issues faced by many seniors such as transportation, social participation, resources and healthcare.
