Sand, Sandbags Available To Residents All Day Wednesday
Residents can pick up the supplies at the Public Works Service Center.
SAN LEANDRO, CA — Sand and sandbags are available throughout the day and night Wednesday to San Leandro residents, while supplies last, San Leandro police said.
Residents can pick up the supplies at the Public Works Service Center at 14200 Chapman Road and at Fire station No. 12 at 1065 143rd Ave. The sand and bags at Fire station No. 12 are in the driveway behind the station.
Residents are limited to 10 bags per household, according to police. Residents are encouraged to bring their own shovel to speed up the process.
