Silver Alert Issued For Missing, At-Risk Woman: CHP

SAN LEANDRO, CA — The California Highway Patrol has issued a Silver Alert for 68-year-old Hongwei Yan, missing since 7:15 a.m. last Friday.

She was last seen near her home in the 1700 Block of Clarke Street in San Leandro, according to the San Leandro Police Department.

Yan is considered at risk because she suffers from mental health-related ailments.

She is believed to be wearing either a blue Adidas jacket or a white down puffy cardigan, along with black tennis shoes with white soles and a white T-shirt with colored flowers.

She is about 5' tall and weighs 90 to 100 pounds. She has long gray hair which is usually worn in a bun.

Yan speaks Mandarin and might have taken Chinese currency, either Yuan or Renminbi, with her when she left.
