5 Felony Arrests, 2 Guns Seized, 10 Vehicles Towed: SLPD Sideshow Crackdown
Four law enforcement agencies banded together in an effort that resulted in arrests, citations, guns seized, and cars towed.
HAYWARD, CA — The San Leandro Police Department is one of four local agencies that participate in a Regional Sideshow Enforcement Team (RESET), along with the Alameda County Sheriff's Office, Hayward Police Department, and the California Highway Patrol.
Last weekend, RESET received information that a sideshow was about to take place near the intersection of Mission Boulevard and Harder Road in Hayward. Officers stepped in and disrupted the sideshow before it could escalate and take over the intersection.
RESET team members made 65 traffic stops that resulted in:
- Felony Arrests: 5
- Misdemeanor Arrests: 6
- Citations: 21
- Firearms Seized: 2
- Vehicles Towed: 10

RESET has drones at their disposal, as well as air support from ACSO, CHP, and the Oakland Police Department.
