Spring Vegetables From The Farmers Market: Photo
These are from the Bayfair Farmers Market. Who has visited the newly opened Downtown Farmers Market?

SAN LEANDRO, CA — Spring is definitely apparent at the Farmers Market.
Miyo Burnett shopped at the Bayfair Farmers Market on Saturday, and came away with the following — lemon grass, Daikon radish, Napa Cabbage, rainbow chard, leeks, fennel with tops, Baby Naiyou Choy, and cilantro.
Of course, one of the joys of chopping at the Farmers Market is chatting with the vendors and getting tips.
Miyo received this helpful hint about lemon grass —keep these bottom down in shallow water, then
when almost at the end of use, cut fresh strips into 4-6 inch lengths and freeze. It will last for months.
If you are wondering about the Baby Naiyou Choy, Miyo said it is in the same family as Bok Choy but stubbier. The flowers that you see are edible.
