Oakland A's Announce They Are Moving To Las Vegas
Team president Dave Kaval said Wednesday night the team finalized a deal last week to buy a 49-acre site close to the Las Vegas strip.

OAKLAND -- For the third time in five years, Oakland sports fans woke up Thursday morning with broken hearts as their last remaining major sports franchise - the Oakland Athletics -- announced they were leaving the East Bay city.
First it was the Golden State Warriors who relocated to San Francisco. Then the NFL's Raiders moved to Las Vegas and now the A's will soon be following them out of town.

Team president Dave Kaval said Wednesday night the team finalized a deal last week to buy the 49-acre site where the A's plan to build the stadium close to the Las Vegas Strip with a seating capacity of 30,000 to 35,000.
