The San Mateo County Health System this week announced the closure of <a href="http://smchealth.org/foodinspections" rel="nofollow" target="_blank">California Fresh</a>, located at 1952 S. El Camino Real in San Mateo, due to alleged health and safety code violations. The business was closed June 13 for the following reasons: 5  Employees hands not properly washed and/or gloves used improperly 6  Lack of facilities or proper supplies to adequately wash hands7  Potentially hazardous foods held at a temperature that encourages growth of harmful bacteria14 Food contact surfaces not clean and sanitized49 Operating without a valid Health Permit
