The community celebration hosted by San Mateo County Parks features giant kites, train rides, food trucks and more.

SAN MATEO, CA — San Mateo County Parks is preparing to host Coyote Point Summerfest later this month at the Coyote Point Recreation Area. This summer's family-friendly event includes performances from the Kite Man of Martinez, with his fleet of giant kites, grupo folklórico dances, and music from Krity Aki Oshiro and SOKO Taiko.
REI will also host bike rides, and kids can board the "Kiddos Chu Chu," with crafts, community resource booths and food trucks to help round out the afternoon.
The event is free to attend, but drivers will need to bring $6 to cover the grounds' vehicle entrance fee.
