SAN MATEO COUNTY, CA — A body was discovered at a homeless encampment near Venice Beach in Half Moon Bay on Sunday, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.
Sheriff’s deputies discovered an “obviously deceased” body in the open space between Venice Beach and Highway 1 on Sunday afternoon after receiving a report of a possible deceased subject.
The person has not been identified and the sheriff and coroner’s offices are investigating the death.
