Fundraiser Held For Family Of Mother Killed In Car Crash In San Mateo
The woman died after the driver of an SUV ran a red light, police said.

SAN MATEO, CA — After a mother was killed and her two children were left hospitalized following a car crash in San Mateo, the community has started a fundraiser to help support the family.
On Thursday at 6:17 p.m., San Mateo Police and California Highway Patrol responded to a serious collision at Alameda de las Pulgas and Highway 92.
A Ford SUV, whose sole occupant sustained minor injuries, ran a red light while exiting the eastbound Highway 92 off-ramp, striking Yina Ramos Bello, who was driving a Toyota Prius with her two young sons in the car, traveling northbound on a green light.

Bello died at the scene. Her two sons, ages 5 and 6, were transported to the hospital in critical but stable condition.
The identity of the SUV driver has not been released.

There is a GoFundMe to help Bello's husband Alejandro Londoño Rojas who is now facing the loss of his wife, caring for his injured children and a massive financial burden such as paying for the funeral and hospital bills.
