Low-Income San Mateo Parking Permits Available At Downtown Lots
Qualifying individuals can purchase a monthly permit for $40 a month.
SAN MATEO, CA — Low-income parking permits are available at all downtown parking garages in San Mateo, the city announced on Monday.
Qualifying individuals can purchase a monthly permit for $40 a month.
The low-cost parking permit options were adopted by the city council at a meeting last October. The permits are valid for all-day parking from 8 a.m. to 6 p.m., but can’t be used overnight.

Parking is on a first-come, first-serve basis and permit holders are not guaranteed a parking space.
Documents showing proof of income are required to be eligible for the low-income parking permit.
