New Cold Weather Record Set In Coastal Peninsula City
Half Moon Bay experienced its coldest morning in recorded history Thursday.

HALF MOON BAY, CA — Half Moon Bay set a cold weather record Thursday, the National Weather Service said.
The temperature hit 37 degrees on the coastal Peninsula city's coldest Oct. 27 morning in recorded history.
The previous record this date was 38 degrees, set in 2011.

“It was chilly this morning around the region,” the NWS wrote on Twitter.
“However, in Half Moon Bay, they set a new low temperature record for Oct. 27th.”

The Bay Area could see rain midway through next week afer experiencing seasonal conditions over the weekend, the NWS said in a separate tweet.
“Looking toward the middle of next week. However, confidence remains low at this time for widespread rainfall,” the NWS tweeted.
