Peninsula Cop Honored
South San Francisco Police Chief Scott Campbell and San Francisco Police Chief Bill Scott attended the American Legion awards presentation.
SOUTH SAN FRANCISCO, CA — A Peninsula cop was honored last week by America’s largest wartime veterans service organization.
Mark Kosta, a South San Francisco police sergeant, was among three law enforcement officers recognized at the Oct. 25 American Legion Post 456 annual police and fire awards ceremony, the agency said on its Facebook page.
Kosta was honored for his commitment to community service and his time volunteered to South City’s Police Activities League.

“Congratulations to all the recipients of this years awards. A job well done!” the agency said.
