Peninsula Copper Theft Suspect Arrested

Charles Coe, 63 of Daly City, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of burglary tools, police said.

PACIFICA, CA — A Peninsula copper theft suspect was arrested early Saturday morning, Pacifica police said.

Charles Coe, 63 of Daly City, was arrested on suspicion of grand theft and possession of burglary tools and booked into San Mateo County Jail, police said.

An officer at around 1 a.m. Saturday detained Coe for possession of a freshly cut copper downspout in the 100 block of Manor Drive, police said.

Coe was also in possession of a crow bar, according to police.

The officer determined that Coe had stolen three downspouts from other structures in the area and hidden them in some nearby bushes, police said
