No injuries were reported in connection with the shooting.

Officers at around 8:45 p.m. Aug. 2 responding to the 700 block of Cedar Street on the report of a firearm being discharged in the area arrested SosaOrtega after he initially attempted to run from the scene, police said.

He was arrested in August on suspicion of illegally carrying a loaded firearm, possession of stolen property, and resisting an executive officer, police said.

Officers determined the handgun was stolen, and that the eight shell casings recovered in the area were the same caliber as the gun in SosaOrtega’s possession, police said.
