Police said a man arrested for brandishing a gun during a road rage incident was a felon driving with a suspended license.

SAN MATEO, CA — A San Bruno man faces several serious charges after police allege he brandished a "ghost gun" during a road rage encounter early Monday.

In a news release, police said a 911 caller reported the incident just after 12:15 a.m. from the 1600 block of South El Camino Real, telling dispatchers the man was leaving the Safeway parking lot.

Police pulled the vehicle over and determined the driver was a felon driving with a suspended license. Officers said a search of the vehicle turned up a loaded, unserialized handgun. According to police, the man had multiple previous felony convictions that prohibited carrying firearms.
