San Mateo Man Arrested On Suspicion Of Raping 14-Year-Old Girl

In separate incidents, the man forcibly raped the girl and sodomized her at her residence, according to the sheriff's office.

SAN MATEO, CA — A San Mateo man was arrested Wednesday on suspicion of raping a minor.

Miguel Mendez-Marin, 21, was accused of being in a romantic relationship with a 14-year-old girl. In separate incidents, Mendez-Marin forcibly raped the girl and sodomized her at her Millbrae residence, according to the San Mateo County Sheriff’s Office.

Detectives began investigating Mendez-Marin in May and arrested him at his San Mateo home on Wednesday. Mendez-Marin was also charged with obstructing/resisting an executive officer after he fought with detectives and caused moderate injuries to one of them, according to the sheriff’s office.

Mendez-Marin may have victimized other underaged girls, according to the sheriff’s office.
